Processing Rooibos Tea

Rooibos teas are made from the South African Red Bush.  After harvesting, grinding and bruising the leaves, the teas are left to ferment and dried to produce a reddish brown needle-like tea. There are 2 types of rooibos teas - green and red.

Both green and red rooibos teas are naturally caffeine-free.

Taste

Rooibos teas taste varies according to the blending nature. It can be a tasty herbal tea or a fruity one.

Health Benefits of Rooibos Teas

Rooibos tea is rich in antioxidants. It can help in preventing cancer, fighting allergy symptoms, and digestion. It is also beneficial to the skin and slows down our aging process.

Preparation Instructions of Rooibos Teas

Making rooibos tea usually requires hot water at 208ºF. Use 1.5 tsp of loose tea leaves per 8 oz of water and steep for 4-5 minutes. Rooibos teas can be topped with ice, making iced teas. Just double the amount of tea used.  Please refer to the individual tea package for the exact instructions on how to make the perfect cup of rooibos tea.
